Support Workers

I’m Kate and I’m a Support Worker. I currently work with the Advanced Class; it is a privilege to reachout and teach the youths to develop self awareness,  life skills, functional skills and most ofall be a friend to them. Most of the youths in my class have never really been treated nicely or accepted into the wider society, it is an opportunity for me to give them their first taste.  I enjoy all the time I spend with them at the Zamarr Institute

I’m Chika and I’m also a Support Worker at The Zamarr Institute. I currently work with the Beginners Class. I love Beginners Class with all the cute and beautiful little faces thriving to be the best they can be. We enjoy circle time, sing along ryhmes, phonics & letters, numbers, story time, free play, art & craft and shapes. Everyday is a delight in Beginners Class.

Rasheed and I are Support Workers at the Zamarr Institute. We each handle different One on One (s) sessions. In One on One sessions we apply the Individual Program of each child. Activities during the One on One session helps us set  focus and clear limits which are applied strictly. The Zamarr Institute creates an avenue for one to learn everyday and apply creativity to achieve results.

National Youth Service

We have two corp member carrying out their primary assignment at the Zamarr Institute this year.

Ibrahim and Favor are two dedicated Corp members serving as Trainee Support Workers at the Institute. They assist in both group classes and learn the ways of a potential Support Worker. Their service in the Zamarr Institute has been a life changing experience for them and their approach to Special Needs will never remain the same again.
